I’m a proud resident of Southern Wake County since 1992.  When my husband and I settled in the area the communities around Wake County, like Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs were much smaller towns.  Over the years we have experience unprecedented growth, with more residents and businesses moving in our area every day.

From my prior experience on Holly Springs Town Council, I appreciate the many benefits that come with growing communities. I recognize the many challenges of that level of growth, as well.  Some of these challenges are unique to our southern wake area, and some are shared across the county.  As our area grows, we need to balance the needs of growth with that of protecting our past.

I’m running for Wake County Commissioner District 2 to make sure that southern Wake County continues to provide the opportunity for a great quality of life. To strive for that opportunity, I’m ready to:

• Work to fully support our public schools
• Make sure our communities continue to be safe for all
• Champion for much needed infrastructure investments
• Protect our local environment and history for today, and generations to come
